Notes:

You could make it a lovely weekend by coming to stay in the mountains.
The Cultural and Hiking Centre have a vast amount of space lending it’s way to great self-camping accommodation with some epic views of the Drakensberg Mountain Range.
Dormitories are also available to runners and spectators.
The Rondavels are the premium accommodation of the centre but are exceptionally limited so be sure to book before they run out but there are also some dormitories where individual beds can be booked.
Additional facilities on the premises include multiple bathroom and shower facilities as well as a communal kitchen.

Route Information:

On offer are 3 distances for you to experience the sheer drama of the area.

Firstly the 10km will take you up the valley between towering peaks to the foot of the main ascent of the next two distances.

The long 20km course will take you further up the valley where you will have commanding views of the peaks above and the valley floor below.

Then the 38km marathon takes you right to the top and along the escarpment for awhile before descending down another valley. All distances provide unforgettable experiences
